The "Small Wins" Philosophy
Striving for grand yearly objectives can seem intimidating. But remember: these big achievements are the accumulation of "small wins," the little daily triumphs like achieving one or more of your daily goals on a particular day that demonstrate incremental progress toward long-term success.
Achieving goals can definitely be daunting. But remember, the mightiest tree grows from a single seed, nurtured daily. So think of daily goals as the nutrients that water the tree that is your practice. If your practice staff can celebrate "small wins" every day, practice managers will begin to see consistent growth over time.
Set SMART Goals to Ensure Staff Success
TeamCare Goals give practice managers with an easy way to set SMART Goals
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Relevant, and
- Time-Bound
Setting SMART goals is no easy task, but when designed thoughtfully, will ensure your staff have the ingredients they need for predictable, enjoyable, and productive workdays.
Here are a few byproducts of well-crafted goals:
- Clear, Simple Direction: Goals can offer a beacon, illuminating clearer paths to understand how our daily tasks contribute to practice-level goals.
- Team Cohesion: Regularly engaging with goals can foster a sense of unity and alignment among the team.
- Motivation and Learning: Achieving goals can uplift team spirit, whereas a missed goal can open doors to invaluable learning.
Green Lines for "Daily Goals" on TeamCare Charts
TeamCare charts predominantly feature a green "Daily Goal" line, acting as both a reminder and an inspiration, signifying that day's objective and the journey towards it.
- App navigation: Dashboard > Practice > Goals
Example 1: Hygiene Reactivation
Galvanize the team to achieve at least 50 hygiene reactivation calls collectively every day. This reconnects with patients and fills potential gaps in the appointment schedule.
Example 2: Hygiene Preappointment
Targeting 100% hygiene preappointment daily ensures patients’ oral health is at the forefront and appointments are consistent. This daily diligence sustains a healthy flow of bookings and peak patient care.
